Zeus is known for being king of the gods in Greek mythology. He was the god of the sky, lightning, thunder, law, and order.

He was considered the ruler, protector and father of all gods and mortals. The most powerful of the gods with his name meaning 'bright' or 'sky'. Zeus also defeated the Titans.
